Shopify Reporting Done Better For
A Fashion E-Commerce
Summary
Shopify reporting can be challenging for e-commerce companies. For a fashion brand, I successfully extracted their data from Shopify and integrated it into the Domo reporting tool. Having access to the raw data outside of Shopify allowed me to generate reports that were unachievable within Shopify’s front-end limitations.
Ensuring that the sales numbers align with Shopify’s existing reports necessitates advanced ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) skills, as Shopify’s API has its complexities and pitfalls. Whenever the CFO required additional reporting, I took the initiative to enhance and expand our original setup.
