Empowering the C-Suite with
Real-Time Insights
Our client, a large-scale enterprise in the tourism industry, was facing critical business challenges, including understanding key revenue drivers and evaluating agent performance. Compounding these issues, the CTO was attempting to fill the role of a Chief Data Officer (CDO) with a limited team of just one person. While IT governance was in place, there were no established standards for data management or reporting.
Our solution was designed to support the CTO by strengthening their existing data infrastructure, enhancing their data capabilities, and laying the groundwork for strategic growth.
The first step was conducting a comprehensive data quality audit. This audit uncovered significant quality issues that had been severely undermining data accuracy. Resolving these issues was essential before moving forward on their data journey.
Once the data quality was restored, we developed custom data models and algorithms within the client’s Microsoft-based database infrastructure to calculate business logic and enable more complex analyses, such as price volume mix analysis (PVM).
With the validated architecture in place, we then designed dynamic Tableau dashboards for the CTO, CFO, and investors. This provided unprecedented visibility into their data, empowering the CEO and board with the insights needed for more informed and strategic decision-making.
Driving TTV Growth: The client struggled to accelerate time-to-value (TTV) for key products and services, which limited their ability to increase revenue at the expected pace.
Understanding Yield Trends: Due to fragmented data, they lacked a comprehensive view of yield trends across different regions and markets, making it difficult to identify areas of inefficiency.
Improving Agent Productivity: Productivity metrics for their agents were unclear, leading to inefficiencies in workforce allocation and performance management.
Customer Insights: The client found it difficult to gain actionable insights from their customer data, impacting their ability to target customers with relevant marketing and sales strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: We worked closely with key stakeholders, including the investors, CTO, and CFO, to align the project goals with business objectives. Regular communication ensured that the dashboards and insights would meet the specific needs of both the management and the equity firm.
Developing Data Algorithms and Business Logic: We designed and implemented custom data algorithms and business logic in MS SQL Server (on-premise). These algorithms were developed to streamline financial reporting, automate key processes, and unlock deeper insights from raw financial data.
Dynamic Dashboards: To provide real-time visibility into financials, agent productivity, and yield trends, we built dynamic Tableau dashboards. These dashboards allow decision-makers to interact with the data, drill down into specifics, and generate reports that present a clear financial picture to both the management team and the equity firm.
Yield Optimization: The client now has a clear understanding of yield trends, allowing them to improve efficiency in underperforming regions.
Increased Agent Productivity: The new dashboards and metrics provide better oversight of agent performance, leading to increases in agent profitability.
